Allyson Apsey is the principal at Quincy Elementary School in Zeeland, Michigan.  She's a national speaker including a TEDx talk.  Furthermore, she's the author of three amazing books, The Path to Serendipity, Through the Lens of Serendipity, and The Princes of Serendip.  Apsey has been in education for over 20 years and 15 of those years as a school leader.  Apsey recognizes the impact that trauma has on students, staff, and the community. She is dedicated to creating a foundation for strong, positive relationships that are based on trust.  Apsey loves learning, laughter, and family. In this episode, Apsey talks about her passion for serendipity and how that has guided her life. Later, Macie joins Qurin and Jordan to discuss the importance of gratitude in your life and how to show empathy towards each other.

Dennis Gillan is a professional mental health speaker and suicide prevention activist.  Gillan's personal story with the suicide of his two brothers has touched the lives of many around the globe.  His mission is to raise awareness about mental illness, the affects of suicide on our lives and to make sure everyone knows the signs of mental illness in a friend or colleague, so we can prevent suicide in our communities.  He’s able to communicate his message and experiences of hurt to help an audience who might need healing. In this episode, Gillan discusses the signs of suicide and how we can help those in need. Later, Ayla joins Desi and Taya to dive into some deep emotional thoughts on mental health, suicide, and helping those that are closest to us.

Esteban Gast is an entertainer, educator, and entrepreneur who is UBER passionate about storytelling as a means to learn, connect, and empathize.  Gast co-wrote an outstanding teaching book called “Building Your Creativity.”  He’s the co-founder of Scriptd and was the star of the TV show “Jungletown” which aired on VICELAND and A&E.  Additionally, he’s been profiled in WBEZ, Huffington Post, Hollywood Reporter, and Brooklyn Magazine.  Currently, he’s a speaker and trainer for CharacterStrong.  Esteban is a gifted communicator who loves breaking down complex issues as he shares the power of kindness with the world.  In this episode, Gast talks about storytelling, kindness, and living with purpose. Jennifer Klauss is currently the lead principal at Enterprise Middle School, in the Richland School District and has been in education for 18 years.  After graduating from Kennewick High School, she played college basketball at Lewis and Clark College while completing her Bachelor of Science.  Additionally, she obtained a Master’s Degree in education from Washington State University.
